The two companies also delivered their first vehicle at the event. Under the agreement, eHi will purchase vehicles from XPeng over the next three years. During this time, the duo will work to build a supercharging network, enhance the vehicle use and service experience, as well as promote their joint brand images.

The cooperation with eHi marked XPeng’s new attempt in the field of smart mobility. The startup believes the cooperation will help popularize smart electric vehicles while enriching application scenarios.

The first vehicles delivered at the event are long-range P7s. XPeng will successively deliver its P5 and G3 models to the car rental company and then provide corresponding services to eHi branches in major transportation hubs and tourist cities in China.

As one of China’s leading car rental companies, eHi has more than 10,000 service outlets in over 500 cities across the country. It currently has a fleet of over 80,000 vehicles with over 200 models to choose from.
