Siemens UK launches automated car rental program with Enterprise

Siemens UK has launched an automated car hire program for its staff through Enterprise. The program gives more than 15,000 employees access to more than 1,400 circulation vehicles at 200 sites across the UK, as well as dedicated motoring club vehicles already on site at Siemens offices across the country.

The onsite program is expected to reduce the number of pool cars Siemens UK operates in its fleet.

Employees use a Siemens credit card to book trips through the Enterprise Car Club app, which tracks every trip through the company’s travel management system.

Wayne Warburton, Head of Mobility Services at Siemens in the UK, said: “The opportunity to extend car club access across the organization alongside the dedicated vehicle program makes sense in because of Enterprise’s highly regionalized network.

“They are the only car rental company that can carry out this initiative and help us manage the current pressures to acquire new vehicles. “Because so many of Enterprise’s on-road vehicles are low- or zero-emissions, the program achieves our sustainability goals without affecting the critical journeys employees must make to sites such as wind farms.
