(3TV / CBS 5) – The cost of renting a car has skyrocketed over the past year and a half. In fact, in Hawaii, travelers were paying $ 4,000 a week just to rent a car once they got on a plane for their vacation.
In this episode, Gary Harper chats with Willis Orlando, an analyst for a travel website called Scott’s Cheap Flights, who investigates travel expenses like renting a car. He will explain why car rentals have gotten so ridiculously high and when rental rates will go down.
Avoid the holiday hangover: Almost half of Americans have credit card debt, with an average balance of $ 6,200. Unfortunately for many consumers, this amount will increase during the holidays. So, in this episode, Gary chats with Kelsa Dickey, a certified financial coach who has been helping people get out of debt for years. Watch out for flooded cars for sale: Thank goodness Hurricane Ida is behind us, but it left a path of destruction. In fact, Ida left $ 95 billion in damage in Louisiana and surrounding states, and much of that destruction was caused to cars. Gary Harper talks to Nate Warfield, a former hacker who ultimately used his skills to help people and businesses protect themselves while online.
